Small Grants

The Oxford Nizami Ganjavi Centre (ONGC) offers small grants of up to £500 for projects related to research into the history, languages and cultures of Azerbaijan, the Caucasus and Central Asia. This includes presenting research at workshops and conferences. Please note that the grants are only open to academic staff and research students of the University of Oxford.

If your application is successful, you will be reimbursed the full sum applied for once you submit the relevant receipt(s) to the Centre Administrator at nizami.ganjavi@orinst.ox.ac.uk

As a grant-holder we ask that you write a brief report on the use of the grant, which will be published on the ONGC website.

Only academic staff and research students of the University of Oxford are eligible to apply for these grants.

No more than one such grant will be awarded to any individual in a single academic year. No grant-holder will be eligible for a further grant until they have reported on the use of a previous grant.

To apply, all eligible applicants must complete the ONGC Small Grants Application Form and return it to the Centre Administrator at nizami.ganjavi@orinst.ox.ac.uk

The criteria for the award of a grant are the quality of the proposal and its relevance to the aims of the ONGC.
